Prof. Federico E Turkheimer – Chair in “Neuroimaging Analysis & Statistics” (UK)   

Federico Turkheimer is Professor of Neuroimaging at the Centre for Neuroimaging, Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College, London. His main interest is in the application of mathematics and statistics to problems in neuroscience, particularly in imaging and genomics. He is an electronic engineer by training, holds a PhD in Nuclear Medicine and has worked in PET and neuroscience for the past 20 years holding appointments at the National Institute of Mental Health (Bethesda), at the University of Cambridge, at the MRC Cyclotron Unit (then Imanet) and Imperial College on the Hammersmith Campus.

Prof. Mattia Veronese –  Leader in “Molecular Imaging Biomarkers and Precision Medicine” (Italy and UK)      

Mattia Veronese is Associate Professor in Biomedical Engineering at Department of Information Engineering (University of Padua, Italy), and Senior Scientist at the Department of Neuroimaging (King’s College London, UK). His main interest is related to the development of molecular neuroimaging biomarkers and to their use for drug development and precision medicine. In the last 10 years he has analysed more than 1,000 neuroimaging scans and published more than 100 papers, collaborating with several research groups worldwide. He is a biomedical engineering by training and holds a PhD in PET kinetic modelling.

Dr. Eilidh MacNicol (UK)   

Eilidh MacNicol is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Neuroimaging at King’s College London. Her work includes building image processing and data analysis workflows, with a particular interest in improving the openness and reproducibility of resources for the preclinical MRI community. Her other interests include the relationship between brain metabolism, structure, and function especially with respect to ageing. She completed her PhD at King’s College London, where she studied how MRI-derived biomarkers of healthy ageing change across the lifespan. #brainage

Dr. Giovanna Nordio (UK)       

Giovanna Nordio is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Centre for Neuroimaging, Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London. Her main interest is to translate FDOPA PET imaging from experimental medicine into clinical use to predict treatment response in patients with psychosis. In 2014 she graduated in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Padova, Italy. In 2018 she completed her PhD in cardiac magnetic resonance imaging at the Department of Bioengineering and Imaging Sciences, King’s College London. #FDOPA #bitbox #illustratedPIS

Julia Schubert (UK)     

Julia Schubert is a group image analyst at the Centre for Neuroimaging, Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College, London. She completed a degree in biology followed by a second degree in computer science at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, Canada). Her work focuses on conducting and developing MR and PET image analysis for the neuroinflammation imaging program, including applications in major depression disorders, dementia, and psychosis. #neuroinflammation #glymphatics

Noha Althubaity (UK & Saudi Arabia)

Noha Althubaity is a PhD student in neuroimaging research at King’s College London. She is also teaching assistant at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Saudi Arabia. She earned a bachelor degree in Radiological Sciences at King Saud University (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) and a Master’s degree in Radiologic and Imaging Sciences at Thomas Jefferson University (Philadelphia, USA). Noha Althubaity is registered as a Radiologic Technologist Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and as Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist from The American College of Radiology and The American Society of Radiologic Technologist, ST. Rubaida Easmin (UK)   

Rubaida Easmin is a research assistant at the Centre for Neuroimaging, Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College, London. She completed M.Sc. in Software Engineering from Institute of Information Technology (IIT), University of Dhaka. She received her second master’s degree in Data Science from Goldsmiths, University of London. Her work focuses on developing an automated web-based analysis framework for data management and analysis of FDOPA PET data. #FDOPA #bitbox

Alessio Giacomel (UK)   

Alessio Giacomel is a NIHR Maudsley BRC & DRIVE-Health Neuroimaging PhD student, focusing on the generation of PET normative neuroreceptor atlases and statistics for the use in both clinical and research settings in mental health. His background is in engineering where he holds a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from the University of Trento (Italy) and a master’s in Biomedical engineering from the University of Padova (Italy). #normativeimaging
